ARMENIAN-GERMAN COOPERATION IN UNIVERSITY EDUCATION STARTS A NEW STAGE
Today YSU Faculty of Law hosted the member of German Bundestag and the chairman of German-Armenian Forum Albert Weiler , the regional leader of “Conrad Adenauer” South Caucasus office, Dr. Thomas Schrapel, “Conrad Adenauer” Armenian office leader Liana Marukyan and the researcher of the foundation Christina Belman.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law of YSU Gagik Ghazinyan thanked those present for accepting his invitation and stressed that the one of the items of the faculty agenda is bilateral cooperation expansion and development.

“I must note that German companies have a special place in the list of the international partners of the Faculty and it’s highly important for us to develop our cooperation including new fields”, said Gagik Ghazinyan.

The Dean expressed hope that it will become possible to find cooperation points with “Conrad Adenauer” foundation in the field of law as well.
Bundestag member Arbert Weiler in his turn thanked for the invitation and stated that he feels at home in Yerevan.

He particularly attached importance to cooperation in the academic sphere and stressed the role of experience exchange in the field of education.
“Exchange programs are of particular importance for establishment of tight cooperation in the sphere of education between two countries”, said Mr. Weiler,”We need young students exchange”. To start bilateral tight cooperation Mr. Weiler expressed willingness to establish ties with the University of Jena to create ways for cooperation between the two universities.

“In my opinion, one of the important components of effective and successful cooperation is know the parties in person, so I attach importance to such meetings”, noted the member of Bundestag.

At the end of the meeting the gusts toured about the Faculty of Law, and Dean Ghazinyan presented them the activity and achievements of the Faculty.
