YSU RECTOR HOVHANNES HOVHANNISYAN AND PRESIDENT OF TIANJIN NORMAL UNIVERSITY ZHONG YINGHUA SIGNED AN COOPERATION AGREEMENT
According to the agreement approved today, the two universities will carry out exchange programs for professors, researchers and students, will exchange scientific, professional literature, periodicals and other materials, will organize joint research programs, conferences and other events.

"China and Armenia are reliable partners that cooperate in various fields, including education and science. Today, two friendly universities are establishing a new page of cooperation," said Zhong Yinghua, president of Tianjin Normal University, during the online signing ceremony.

 

He presented the structure and directions of the university, stating that it was founded in 1958 and has more than 30 thousand students.

YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan stated that China and Armenia have been cooperating since the time when the "Silk Road" stretching from China to Europe passed through Armenia. "Relations between the two countries have become closer over the years. "I can state that the interest in Chinese language and Chinese culture has recently increased in our country, which is evidenced by the construction of a new Chinese school," he said.

Hovhannisyan informed his Chinese colleagues that there are Chinese Studies and Chinese Culture Centers at YSU, about which the students are very interested.

He presented YSU activities, directions of international cooperation and expressed hope that the "One Belt, One Road" strategic project of China will provide new opportunities to more effectively implement the programs envisaged by the cooperation between the two universities.
