NEW PROJECTS IN IT SPHERE
Cooperation between YSU and Virage Logic International was launched today.

An agreement was signed between YSU and Virage Logic International in the beginning of current month, according to which Electronic schemes design and testing project of ultrahigh integration will be realized in YSU IT Educational and Research Center.

The above mentioned organization is occupied in the area of supply of semi-conducting mental property for integral electric circuits. So, taking into consideration the rivalry, time and quality of products, the organization designs projects to prepare information systems. The Virage Logic headquarters is in USA, California. The leading branches are in Armenia and India.

Deputy Director and senior scientist of Virage Logic Yervand Zoryan presented in brief the activities of the organization and then focused on the project. This is our first serious cooperation with YSU. We chose YSU as a partner, taking into consideration the high quality of education, as well as the level of knowledge of YSU graduates, estimated in various international spheres, - he said. Mr. Zoryan added it is possible that the projects launched here can become independent organizations in future.

An experimental room was allocated by YSU for the implementation of this project, equipped with corresponding technical means, where both students and young scientists can develop their research activities.

I signify this cooperation, as in developing world it is impossible not to focus on this area. I guess the implementation of such projects trains specialists for the very sphere worldwide, - said RA Vice-minister of Economics Vahe Daniyelyan.

This is also a strategic project, as we, having got at our disposal such systems, will manage to train qualified specialists, competitive worldwide, - said YSU IT Educational and Research Center Director Samvel Shukuryan.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH PROJECT IN COOPERATION BETWEEN RESEARCHERS OF YSU AND UNIVERSITY OF GENEVA
The research project was launched in October, 2020 and funded by Science Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The project is implemented by Yerevan State University in cooperation with Dr. Mara Tignino who is a reader and a lead legal specialist at the Faculty of Law and Institute for Environmental Sciences of the University of Geneva.
DIRECTOR OF YSU FACULTY OF LAW SCIENTIFIC-EDUCATIONAL CENTER ON ENVIRONMENTAL LAW HOSTED A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UN ECONOMIC COMMISSION FOR EUROPE
Olimpia Geghamyan, Director of the Scientific-Educational Center for Environmental Law at YSU Faculty of Law, hosted Marianna Bolshakova, a representative of the UN European Economic Commission's international team of experts, and discussed with her the problems of ecological education and upbringing in Armenia.
