STUDENT SUPPORT PUPILS
Today, YSU Pre-university Education Department staff together with YSU lecturers visited Ashtarak School N 5.

The purpose of the visit was to make pupils aware of various issues via selection of lectures, to provide live communication between teachers and pupils hungry for information.

Trips, organized by us from time to time, are designed to strengthen the ties between YSU and schools, and why not, to make the propaganda of YSU. Recently, similar initiatives are also observed by other universities, thus increasing the responsibility towards our mission, because if our efforts bring at least one talented student to the university, our work can be considered a success, - said the head of YSU Department on Entrants Affairs Emin Santrosyan.

Our delegation was: Head of the Department on Entrants Affairs Emin Santrosyan, head of Chair of the Armenian Literature of YSU faculty of Armenian Philology Samvel Muradyan, head of the Department TV and Radio Journalism Moushegh Hovsepyan, tutors from other faculties. They talked with students about the activities of Yerevan State University, possibly exposing students to the secrets of their chosen specialty.

Having graduated from high school, then You have a goal to deepen your knowledge in the areas of science and native language. You will find beautiful, but time-consuming way. We hope to see you, the future of Armenia. Remember that good people are always in demand, - said Samvel Muradyan during the meeting with humanities class students.

Headmaster of this school Felix Hovhannisyan, highlighting the importance of high school, said that public schools should also play a crucial role in establishing and strengthening linkages between the pupil and university: The problem of high school is to prepare a future student. High School is purely academic. There are other institutions for children who have the corresponding potential, - said the headmaster.

Students also expressed their pleasure, because such visits help them to make a right decision in future. 10th form pupil Sargis Setoyan says he has put the stress on philology and law, but today he was finally convinced that would become a philologist.

These trips are effective, because they help pupils to assert themselves, to learn more about the preferred specialty. The initiative is praiseworthy, and it would be desirable to provide with direct communication with YSU students and structure, - noted the Head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport of Aragatsotn Majors Office Pargev Hambardzoumyan. In addition to the above mentioned lecturers expressed their willingness to take part in school lessons, communicate with pupils and organize educational visits to YSU.
