THE FUTURE OF JOURNALISTIC EDUCATION
"I am sure that the discussions that we organize today will somehow get the shape of advices and proposals in future to undertake the reforms for the education in the area of Journalism in Armenia",- says USA USAID Armenian representative George Zaretsky.

On the 6th of June YSU Faculty of Journalism and Armenian branch of International Center for Journalists organized a seminar headed The Future of Journalistic Education in Armenia.

The main goal of the seminar was to discuss the motions of development of the journalistic education in Armenian state and private IHE and organizations specialized in this field, the current situation of this issue, teaching methods, educational programs and criterions.

The heads, experts and tutors of the faculties of Journalism from Armenian IHE together with the representatives of leading Media and specialized organizations were present at the seminar.

The topic of the international experience in this field was also discussed. The focus was made on how to launch it here together with the experience exchange in the area of modern methods of teaching of Journalism and how to share the knowledge in Armenian IHE. To undertake these activities the possible collaboration between Armenian IHE in this field was discussed.

In the end of the seminar the participants signed a memorandum and so claimed their willingness to collaborate for the development of journalistic education in Armenia.
