A NEW PARTNER OF YSU FROM CHINA
Management of YSU and the Shanghai Normal University signed a cooperation agreement.

Today YSU Rector Aram Simonyan received the representatives of the Shanghai Normal University. The Chinese delegation was headed by the Secretary of the CPC Committee of this HEI Jianyong Teng.

 

YSU Vice-rector on Scientific Policy and International Cooperation Gegham Gevorgyan, Head of YSU International Cooperation Office Alexander Markarov and Director of YSU Chinese Language and Culture Centre Arthur Israelyan also attended the meeting.

 

Aram Simonyan presented the history, educational and research programs of YSU, as well as the directions of the international cooperation.

 

“YSU actively cooperates with a number of foreign universities. YSU has cooperation agreements with around 270 foreign educational institutions today, including a number of Chinese universities, but specific programs are not yet implemented,” - said the Rector and added that the parties should do everything possible to develop the cooperation.

 

Arthur Israelyan presented the Chinese Language and Culture Centre at YSU Faculty of International Relations, focusing on the main mission and results.

 

The structure of the Shanghai Normal University with more than 30.000 students, educational systems and programs, institutes and colleges within the university, international cooperation, as well as the professions taught were presented by Cheng Wu, Head of the International Affairs Office of this university.

 

Then Aram Simonyan and Jianyong Teng signed a memorandum on cooperation and exchanged souvenirs.
