A DISCUSSION IN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE
A DISCUSSION IN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE
Today in YSU Hall after Palyans a round-table on the issues of the international law was held. The working language was Russian.

The round-table was initiated by the Chair of Russian Language (Humanities Faculties) of YSU Faculty of Russian Philology in cooperation with YSU Faculty of International Relations and Russian Center.

About 30 freshmen and sophomores represented YSU Faculty of International Relations during this discussion. The focus was made on the territorial integrity and the right of nations to self-determination and their correlation. The format and the chosen topic for discussion served just as a mean to reach the goal of this initiative to develop students skills in Russian language.

Our final goal is not the discussion of the topic from the professional aspect. We have a goal to develop students skills in Russian language. This is a perfect opportunity for them to make a discussion in the area of their specialization in Russian language, - said the assistant of the Chair of Russian Language (Humanities Faculties) of YSU Faculty of Russian Philology Margarita Dpiryan.

Deputy Dean of YSU Faculty of International relations Menua Soghomonyan signifies initiatives of the kind, underlining the professional factor.

Such discussions are very effective in the area of professionalism, too. Usually it is difficult to organize something of the kind in auditorium, as the majority is not ready or has got no wish. Today here I see many smart students and the result is the effective discussion, - said Menua Soghomonyan.

This round-table was the first joint initiative of the Chair of Russian Language (Humanities Faculties) of YSU Faculty of Russian Philology and Russian Center, but both sides are sure that the cooperation will be continued.
