The results of the “Time for Tea” informal educational and social program were summarized during the event. The program was founded by Momentum World Organization.
At the initiative of the Associate Professor at the Chair of English Language #2 of YSU Faculty of Romance-Germanic Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences Liana Barseghyan, 20 students from the Faculty of Economics and Management, Mathematics and Mechanics participated in the program aimed at promoting active citizenship and cross-cultural communication through tea.
Within the framework of the project, students voiced numerous local and global issues with the help of tea, performed teamwork, and made debates on the subject. Then they chose the most important issue they were interested in and decided who they were to send their message to make the voice of young people more audible and effective. Students will also prepare a pack of tea packages to send their messages to the selected individual or organization.
The results of the work will be sent to London, where Liana Barseghyan will be present during the 3rd stage of the project.
“Tea is the second most popular drink in the world. It unites relatives and friends, gives them time to think and create,” - says Liana Barseghyan and adds that informal education provides a favorable environment where young people can express themselves, reveal their abilities and skills, develop new skills.
