STUDENTS CELEBRATED WORLD THEATRE DAY
STUDENTS CELEBRATED WORLD THEATRE DAY
March 27 is the World Theatre Day.

At the initiative of YSU Cultural Centre this year also students visited the RA Museum of Literature and Art and after this they paid tribute to the great figures of the Armenian theater at Komitas Pantheon.

“I think such events have a serious mission, since most of today’s young people know almost nothing of the great figures of our nation,” - said the Director of YSU Cultural Centre Karine Davtyan, adding that young people are actually interested in art and literature, adding at the same time that today art, literature and culture are not in the center of attention in general.

“Young people need right guidance and we should inform them about the great cultural heritage of our people. Art and culture are the areas which play a major role in the development of human being,” - said Karine Davtyan.

By the way, this is the only museum in Armenia, which has a theater and cinema sections. Here different exhibition halls are devoted to the art, literature, theater, cinema, music. Karine Davtyan told students interesting details about the exhibited samples.

Then our students laid flowers on the graves of the eminent figures of the Armenian world of art and culture, as well as recited some excerpts from the literary works.
