JUBILEE CONCERT IN GYUMRI ON THE EVENT OF YSU FOUNDATION CENTENNIAL
The festive events held in Gyumri on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of YSU foundation were finished with the concert of YSU Cultural Centre.

The concert started with the performance of the RA and YSU anthems by the chair of YSU Cultural Centre.

Among the singers were Gayane Tadevosyan, Maritsa Tilikyan, Manan Asikyan, Ani Kocharyan.

Songs from the repertoire of Charles Aznavour were performed during the concert.

The dance group of the Cultural Centre performed to the music by Sayat-Nova.

STATEMENT OF YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY  ADDRESSED TO INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS REGARDING THE SITUATION CREATED AS A RESULT OF THE BLOCKADE IMPOSED ON THE LACHIN CORRIDOR
Since the morning of December 12th, a group of Azerbaijani civilians disguised as environmentalists have imposed a blockade on the Goris-Stepanakert highway (the Lachin Corridor) which is currently the only route linking Nagorno-Karabakh to the outside world. On top of that, during bitterly cold winter Azerbaijan had shut off natural gas supplies leaving the civilians in the territory without heating for 75 hours.

A meeting with Armenian composer, People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mansuryan took place at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center, during which university rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan presented the maestro with YSU gold medal.
