THE FIRST STAGE OF SCHOOL “YSU OLYMPIAD-2019” HAS STARTED
747 schoolchildren are going to compete at Yerevan State University.

YSU has been holding the school Olympiad for 11 years. The aim of the contest is to orient pupils in their majors, to enrich their knowledge and abilities, to get necessary skills and to familiarize them with the faculties they prefer.

“YSU Olympiad” was initiated and has been held up today by YSU Department of Pre-university Education.

The head of Pre-university Education Department Vachagan Galstyan noted that like the previous years, this year the number of applicants for the Olympiad has increased and the results got from the Olympiads are obvious. “We are trying to reveal smart, intellectual school graduates and to direct them to YSU. This Olympiad is important for future entrans as they get experience and skills necessary for participating in various international contests”.

The second stage of the annual contest will be held on March 30 at YSU, in which the winners of the first stage are to participate.

The ceremony of closing and awarding will be held on April 16 in the Big Hall of YSU and YSU administration and Deans of faculties will be present at it.

Besides awards, in accordance with the YSU Academic Council, the pupils who will get the first three prized in the second stage, in case of entering the paid system of YSU will get tuition fee discount for respectively 50%, 40% and 30%.
