YSU SSS SUMMARIZED THE SEMESTER
The extended session of YSU Student Scientific Society for the first semester of 2017-2018 academic year took place today.

In the beginning of the session YSU SSS Chairman Mher Hakobyan, welcoming the participants, noted that the session of this academic year differs from other ones, as the jubilee year is also summarized.


Mher Hakobyan stated that 400 applications have been submitted for the 4th international conference from 57 HEIs from 25 countries, 350 speakers from 14 countries, who presented their reports in 23 professional sections: "This was one of the most important events in this semester. On the SSS history pages, this conference will remain as one of the most productive and best events."


Mher Hakobyan also presented a new program for this semester - "Retrospective", within which Venera Stepanyan, member of the SSS Commission on Information Affairs, conducts interviews with former SSS chairmen and presents their experience, skills and memories.


The SSS achievements as well as the faculty SSS indicators were presented during the session. Mher Hakobyan also presented the main event of next year, the 5th international conference to be held on April 16-20. It will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the First Republic of Armenia.


The faculty SSSs, secretaries and members who have been active, received certificates and professional literature.


YSU SSS Deputy Chairman Mariam Martirosyan presented the activities of the Commission on Information Affairs, noting that during this semester 74 news were posted on the SSS website. Mariam Martirosyan also presented commission's further steps, including full coverage of events, activation of Facebook pages, dissemination of announcements, site updates and translation.

During the extended session active members of the Information Commission also received awards.


Mher Hakobyan also thanked all faculty SSSs and members who contributed to the organization of the international conference. Mariam Martirosyan received special thanks for the dedication and work at this structure in the period of last five years. Next semester she will develop her activities abroad.
