"Art Fest -2017" International Youth Music Festival was held on June 10. YSU Cultural Centre also participated in it.

About 40 young singers made performances at Yerevan Theater and Film Institute. They performed in three genres: classical music, pop and folk.

The festival, in addition to the participants from Armenia, was also attended by the representatives of Ukraine, Iran and Kazakhstan.

YSU was represented here by students of the Faculty of History Ani Kocharyan (pop) and Elen Tonoyan (pop), Anna and Marie Gabrielyans from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology (classical) and Ani Sisakyan (folk) from the Faculty of Biology.

The professional jury was composed of the RA People's Artist, composer Yervand Yerznkyan, RA Honored Art Figure Arzas Voskanyan and Susanna Martirosyan, Head of the Chair of Vocal of Yerevan State Conservatory.

"My first appearance in the jury of the festival was three years ago, and I can say one thing very clearly, I notice the qualitative growth year after year. There were some participants who are quite professional," - says Arzas Voskanyan.

The jury has already made its decision in selecting the best singer and performer in each category. And their names will be announced on June 19 during the closing and awards ceremony.
