YSU STUDENTS VISITED ARTSAKH
On December 24-26 YSU students visited Artsakh. They had prepared gift bags for children and brought with them a real Christmas mood.

The first stop was in Karvachar. Hundreds of children greeted with great joy our students also looking forward to Santa’s gifts. Students had prepared a special New Year program - concert with performances, which children also joined enthusiastically.

Armine had managed to write a letter to Santa Claus. She wants peace for the whole world, she has a brother, a soldier, and her brother’s return will be the happiest day for her.

“I like toys, surprises but most of all I do not want to see the death of any soldier,” - says Armine. One child wanted a drone from Santa Claus.

The students visited the Alashay village, where they visited temporarily settled children from Talysh.

The Program Coordinator, representing YSU Centre for the Affairs with Students Lusine Hambaryan, said: “We have prepared a lively, good, festive songs, we try to create a Christmas environment for children to believe in miracles. All the children were impressed by this meeting.”

On the next day, students visited Martakert and Stepanakert.

Director of YSU Centre for the Affairs with Students Vahagn Varagyan said the visit was made based on the recommendations by the heads of student organizations: “We prepared gifts for about 2000 children from Martakert and Shahumyan regions and a number of villages in Tavush.”


Armen Khachikyan, Head of YSU Military Club said: “The most important indicator of success is the smile and joy of these children. Parents were also inspired, who are sure they are not ignored, there is a social responsibility towards the border villages.”

On the last day of the visit our delegation visited New Erkech, Dadivank, Chorektar, Yeghegnut villages, where they met with the children form the communities Knaravan, Chapni, New Karachinar.
