YOUTH ISSUES WERE DISCUSSED AT THE INTERNATIONAL ONLINE PLATFORM
YSU Alumni and Career Centre participated in the international discussion “Quality of Organization of Work with Young People in a Global Context: Challenges and the Ways of Development.”

Today, VI International Youth Research Conference “Innovation potential of youth: globalization, politics, integration” kicked off at Yekaterinburg Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia Boris Yeltsin. Plenary session of the conference was opened by the experts engaged in youth issues. They were presented the experience of working with young people of the Eurasian region, the perception of social inequality by youth, the trend of transformation of the national youth policy, etc.

Discussion platforms were organized at the conference, one of which “The quality of organization of work with young people in a global context: challenges and the ways of development” was held in the Internet conference format. The participants of the online discussion were the representatives of educational institutions of Russia, Armenia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Armenia was represented by Yerevan State University, represented by the Director of YSU Alumni and Career Centre Lilit Hakobyan, who spoke about the youth employment issues, challenges of the university system and the activities of the Centre.

“YSU is taking definite measures to solve the employment issues of the university graduates, constantly works to strengthen ties between the university, the employer and the labor market, organize seminars, trainings and courses with the representatives of companies that are potential employers,” - said the Director of the Centre.

Other participants of the discussion platform also stopped on this issue, noting in particular the importance of non-formal education activities for students to transfer the necessary skills.



It should be noted that the UFU has a chair on the work with young people in its structure, which provides education for bachelors and masters. In parallel with the conference, these days the UFU hosts National Festival of Students engaged in the field of “The organization of work with young people”, which is attended by the representatives of more than 20 Russian universities.

At the invitation of the Ural Federal University the conference is attended by YSU Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Relations Ruben Markosyan.
