The above mentioned journals presentation was organized today. It is available in 6 languages - Armenian, English, French, Spanish, Italian and German.
The initiative belongs to the Student Council and was brought to life by a group of freshmen, who hope to unite all the students of this faculty around this idea. The goal of this journal is to discover and present everything that is new, gorgeous and urgent. It is called to focus on the facultys everyday life, activities of student structures, making aware the studentship of various issues, stressing on the positive and negative aspects of our academic process.
Dean of the faculty Samvel Abrahamyan states that students show good willingness regarding this initiative and have worked out in details the content and design in advance. The languages are studied not for just to know them, but learn the culture and people of the country, to understand their lifestyle and routine. This journal is called to help the professorial staff of our faculty in this process, - he said.
Editor in Chief Siranush Seyranyan promised that the journal will remain faithful to the essence of multi-lingual faculty, becoming a bridge between the languages taught. Logo was chosen by the image circle of hands of people representing different races, which symbolizes unity and harmony. And the name of the journal consists of the letters of various languages.
Head of the Chair of English Philology Seda Gasparyan considers the publication of official newspaper of Student Council as an important and promising initiative: The printed letter obliges. Of course, the omissions may slip, but if You set yourself high standards, in future, You can demand accountability and professionalism from others, too.
In all the countries students are always leading and courageous stratum and the Head of the Chair of Romance Philology Vahan Sargsyan hopes that the newspaper will manifest the activities of the students, their energy. I am very pleased that we, heads of chairs, previously knew nothing. This is a surprise, and a proof that they have organized all themselves, - he said.
By the way, according to the head of the chair, the frequency of the edition is too small, and it will affect its efficiency. His opinion is shared by the Chairman of YSU Student Council Tsolak Akopyan, who promised to allocate amount from the Student Council funds for the publication of Nor Xocq. We should also note that the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology is the third in YSU, which issues an official paper of Student Council. Comparing this paper with analogous newspapers of the faculties of History and Economics, Tsolak Akopyan assured that the Nor Xocq differs with its high level and content.
