During the meeting Naghash Martirosyan thanked the Ambassador Jonathan Lacôte for the visit and attached great importance of such initiatives.
"Information and communication technologies, digital media are making a serious revolution in the media, and today's training was important and necessary," said Naghash Martirosyan.
He said, that it is symbolic that the training is carried out on the days when the faculty is starting to establish an Innovation Media Center.
In the ambassador's view, the CFI agency will continue to implement programs in Armenia, considering training a priority in the field of education.
Astghik Avetisyan, a lecturer, associate professor of YSU Faculty of Journalism, told us that such training programs are an interesting opportunity for lecturers.
"During the training we were trying to identify the challenges that the Faculty of Journalism faces and what the lecturers need to do," explained Mrs. Avetisyan.
According to her, it is very important for Faculty of Journalism to be equipped with digital technologies that will enable students to get acquainted with the world trends.
It should be reminded that the training will be conducted in two stages.
The second round will start on December 16.
