The series of concerts, devoted to the 90th anniversary of the State String Quartet after Komitas, started at YSU.

The event was attended by YSU Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Relations Ruben Markosyan, Director of Cultural Centre Karine Davtyan and students.

The guests were first greeted by Karine Davtyan, who welcomed the initiative and then presented some details about the history of the quartet.

Ruben Markosyan said: It is a great honor for the University to host such famous quartet. Thank you that the series of concerts start at YSU.

We are pleased and honored to be hosted at YSU. Thank you for the warm reception, - said Eduard Tadevosyan.

This quartet is one of the best quartets of the USSR. It is the oldest string quartet in the world, which was founded by talented musicians Avet Gabrielyan and Sargis Aslamazyan in 1924 in Moscow.
