ATAYAN READINGS
On the 1st of October in the hall after Charents the international scientific conference headed "Atayan Readings" was launched.

Chairman of the conference, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Academician Edward Atayan, Professor Dora Sakayan from McGill University, Canada, expressed a hope in her opening speech that this conference will serve as a basis for the Atayanian thought to be spread not only in Armenia, but throughout the world.

Edward Atayan is the visiting card for our people to present ourseleves all over the world, despite their largeness and significance. This personality can help Armenian people to enter the international world of science and culture, - mentioned Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Academician Gevorg Brutyan.

The main topics of the international scientific conference are lingo-philosophy, philosophy, typology, science of signs. Specialists from Canada and Holland will make reports during the conference together with Armenian scientists.

As for Atayan, we dealt with a personality, who once used to be called not a titan, but encyclopedia, and today we have not got such people at the vault of our science,-said YSU Rector Aram Simonyan and suggested to make this conference traditional.

On the 3rd of October, closing day of the conference, a round table will be organized in the hall after Palyans of YSU. And tomorrow the participants will visit the tomb of the Academician.
