COOPERATION BETWEEN PARTNER UNIVERSITIES IS STRENGTHENED: YSU HOSTED GEORGE SHARVASHIDZE
Acting rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan hosted today Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University George Sharvashidze.

"We are glad to welcome you. The cooperation with Georgian universities has a long history, so, continuing the good traditions, we can develop joint programs and further strengthen our academic and friendly relations," said Hovhannes Hovhannisyan said.


George Sharvashidze confirmed that it is time to raise the existing cooperation with YSU to a new level.


"We have many colaboration with Yerevan State University, we are also involved in different international projects. I think we should work on creating joint scientific programs.


We look forward to your visit to Tbilisi State University by the end of the year to determine the format and hold a more detailed discussion.” he said.


The rectors discussed a number of issues related to the reforms implemented in the universities, scientific-educational programs, international cooperation and some existing problems.


At the end of the meeting, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and George Sharvashidze gave each other souvenirs and agreed to meet again in the near future to discuss new programs aimed at strengthening cooperation.
