THE INDEPENDENT MOVEMENT WITH PARUYR HAYRIKYAN'S EYES
THE INDEPENDENT MOVEMENT WITH PARUYR HAYRIKYAN'S EYES
The history of the Independence of Republic of Armenia is not limited in one decade. This work began since 1966.

On September 20 on the eve on the 15th anniversary on Independence, public worker Paruyr Hayrikyan was the guest of the students of Yerevan State University.

It is important for me to present you the process of becoming Independent, I think it should be instructive for you, said Paruyr Hayrikyan during his speech.

While the abbreviated version of The last deporter of USSR film was displayed. When a person connects the Armenian Independence Movement with the less important Movement of Artshakh, he maybe doesnt know or tries to adjust the history with some circumstances. In reality we succeeded to prove that the Movement of Artshakh is the continuation of Armenian National self-determination, says the speaker.

If there wasnt the youth inspiration of those times, the will and the ability to struggle for acquiring the Independence belief, we may not have Independent Armenia today but we should have improved Armenia in such status as is China today.

I only tried to transfer the bright I have to the students, said Paruyr Hayrikyan. This meeting gave us an opportunity that our young generation is not only ready but also want to understand the reality.

It is difficult for me to say that today we can survive for the concept of Independence with the same enthusiasm, because our generation grew up in the Independent conditions and dont remember the movement. But we, surely, admire with the belief and stability the young people had at that time, said the deputy of YSU Educational Councils president Hamlet Manoukyan.

This meeting is not with political party leader, but a man who made a serious investment Paruyr Hayrikyan. Im sure that the students understood it right, said the chief of the YSU student department Mihran Hakobyan.
