NATURAL SCIENCES IN FOCUS
Cooperation between the spheres of natural and military sciences is for the welfare of the development and security of the country.

On November 20 the All-Armenian Second Scientific Conference entitled Natural Sciences in 21st century: Issues and Solutions in the area of Education was launched at YSU Preparatory Faculty for Foreign Citizens.

NAS RA President Radik Martirosyan mentioned in his speech that a special focus must be made on the natural sciences in secondary schools.

NAS RA Academician Educard Ghazaryan said the specialists, who prepare manuals, are the representatives of the sphere of science, and teachers are skillful pedagogues. Different problems often appear in the process of preparing manuals on natural sciences. According to Mr. Ghazaryan two different manuals are being prepared for our schools: orientated for humanities and natural sciences.

The conference was held in cooperation with the RA Ministry of Defense. RA Minister of defense Seyran Ohanyan made a report headed Natural Sciences and Military Science. He stressed the attention on the military security issues, military industry complex development.

YSU Vice-rector on Scientific Policy and International Cooperation states the army and education are tightly connected and can develop each other. Well educated and clever soldiers are trained in our educational institutions and they develop their level of knowledge in the armed forces, - he said.

The conference will continue its activities tomorrow not only in sessions but also discussions will be held in groups.
