THE BIOLOGISTS ARE AWARE
Biologists got acquainted with a number of international educational and scientific projects today.

In the framework of First Biological Student International Conference representatives of British Council, IREX and Tempus presented the educational projects, realized by them, to our future biologists.

The IREX representative Arina Zohrabyan spoke about Edmund S. Muskie scholarship project, realized by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, US Department of State. This project provides people with higher education to continue studies in USA, undertaking different MA programs.

Arina Zohrabyan presented the spheres our students can apply for: business management, education, economics, management of environment, public healthcare, etc. She added that participants will be selected by contest.

Representative of British Council generally focused on various educational and scientific projects in the area of biology, open library network, as well as presented in details the educational and scientific project, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwins birth. 

Representatives of British Council donated a number of books on educational and scientific systems of Great Britain to YSU Faculty of Biology.

Tempus Project Coordinator in Armenia Lana Karlova presented in brief two educational and structural projects, realized by them. You can visit their website www. study-in-europe. org for the details.

By the way, PHD student from the Chair of Biophysics Ashot Margaryan is the participant of Tempus Educational Project. He visited England in 2002 in the framework of this project.

I would advise our students to concentrate their attention on the educational projects of the kind, as they provide with an opportunity to undertake complex researches and to compete in the labor market, - said Ashot Margaryan.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH PROJECT IN COOPERATION BETWEEN RESEARCHERS OF YSU AND UNIVERSITY OF GENEVA
The research project was launched in October, 2020 and funded by Science Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The project is implemented by Yerevan State University in cooperation with Dr. Mara Tignino who is a reader and a lead legal specialist at the Faculty of Law and Institute for Environmental Sciences of the University of Geneva.
DIRECTOR OF YSU FACULTY OF LAW SCIENTIFIC-EDUCATIONAL CENTER ON ENVIRONMENTAL LAW HOSTED A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UN ECONOMIC COMMISSION FOR EUROPE
Olimpia Geghamyan, Director of the Scientific-Educational Center for Environmental Law at YSU Faculty of Law, hosted Marianna Bolshakova, a representative of the UN European Economic Commission's international team of experts, and discussed with her the problems of ecological education and upbringing in Armenia.
