YSU TEAM IS THE FIRST PLACE HOLDER
Team of Yerevan State University showed best results in the "International Collegiate Programming Contest for Higher Educational Institutions".

Semi-finals for Transcaucasian countries of World Olympiad were held in Yerevan on the 28th and 29th of November. Armenia and Georgia had represented 9 teams each. The Contest was held simultaneously in four cities of the North-Eastern European Region: Yerevan, Tashkent, Barnaul and St Petersburg.

The Contest duration was 5 hours. In the end of the Contest Team number 1 of YSU showed the best result among the Universitarian teams in such kind of Olympiads. It left aside the leading team of Tbilisi State University and won the first place among the teams of Transcaucasus. Having solved 5 problems of 10 and taken the 27th place in the North-Eastern European Region, Team number 1 of YSU was awarded the Diploma of the 2nd degree. So, none of the Transcaucasian teams entered the final round.

Students of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics Vahe Musoyan, David Haykazyan and Levon Haykazyan were in the staff of this team. Other teams of our University also had progress compared with previous years.
