THE SYSTEMATIZATION OF CONTEMPORARY LITERATURE HAS STARTED
Today, the conference "Issues of Modern Armenian Prose" was opened at YSU.

The sixth two-day conference on this issue is jointly organized by Yerevan State University, Writers Union of Armenia and the National Educational and Cultural Foundation. The 2nd working day will be held in Tsaghkadzor Writers House.

According to the Chairman of the National Armenian Educational and Cultural Foundation Lilit Galstyan previously they referred to authors, this time their goal is to analyze the field in a more comprehensive way.

Classical literature is more or less popular among the readers and the same cannot be said about modern times. And it is also very difficult to evaluate this literature because it is in progress. The reports can not contain 100% answers, but some of the phenomena that have become common, will be commented, - says Dean of the Faculty of Armenian Philology Artsrun Avagyan.

22 reports will be made during the conference. The participants are sure that today there is a big gap between the readers and writers. One of the goals is to find new readers. And here the focus on students is among the priorities.

The conference hall brought together literary critics and readers.

I hope we will have a real debate, but not the debate, which is present in our press today. It is out of any censure. Every speaker tries to summarize his speech with curse. I believe that our discussions will point out the problems and solutions of this field, - said Chairman of the Writers Union of Armenia Levon Ananyan in his opening speech.

The first day of the conference is devoted to the theoretical issues, and on the second day the focus will be made on the specific authors and their works, as the literature of the past 20 years has not been systemized.
