THE FUTURE PSYCHOLOGISTS ARE ENCOURAGED SINCE TODAY
It is the 3rd year that Irina Gyulnazaryan educational foundation association (IGEFA) give money grant and encouraging gifts to the students of the faculty of philosophy and psychology of Yerevan State University.

On September18 in the hall of academic council took place IGEFA recurrent charitable action. The president of the foundation Rouzanna Ohanjanyan established this foundation in memory of her daughter Irina Gyulnazaryan. She was a student of the philological faculty of Santa Barbara University in California and was a talented poet, patriot, who everywhere and always mentioned that she was an Armenian. 

She graduated the 4th course and on the way to home-coming she died from car-accident told Rouzanna Ohanjanyan. She managed to leave a bright track that her friends both in Armenia and California continued her work. The foundation exists by not such rich people. Pupils and students from Santa Barbara who knew Irina decided to help their Armenian compatriots. They organized a concert-event and the money which gathered from the concert gave to IGEFA who, in its turn, provides presents for YSU student.

The first person who was awarded 500 dollars was Gayane Nazaryan. I only told about the work I had done. Thank you to the people who value what I have done and want to do says Gayane. And the money should be spent on books and more important things for the profession.

People who took part in the competition supplied demands with their personal facts, put the list of their marks, also wrote essays about them in Armenian and English. Estimating with high marks the finished work done during the IGEFA competition, R.Ohanjanyan was greeted by YSU vice-rector Alexander Grigoryan, the dean of the faculty of Philosophy and Psychology Hrachik Mirzoyan, lecturers and students. Rouzanna Ohanjanyan gave lectures in YSU, in 1992 she went to the USA and took doctors degree there. In 2005 by the decision of YSU Academic Council she was granted with YSU honorary title of doctor, which gave her the vice-rector Alexander Grigoryan during the competition.

Within the framework of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) International Science and Technology Initiative (MISTI) Global Teaching Labs (GTL) program Yerevan State University (YSU) hosted three students back in January this year for the first time. MIT students Yu Jing Chen, Anne Snyder, and Sean Zhang taught three different subjects and held hands-on workshops for YSU students.
