YSU ETERNAL POSTGRADUATE STUDENT
YSU ETERNAL POSTGRADUATE STUDENT
One of the perished soldiers during Artsakh Liberation War was YSU postgraduate student Mher Julhatchyan. On the 28th of November Mher, who comes from Beirut, Lebanon, could celebrate his 40th anniversary of birth.

The room of Investigation of Minerals and Mine Explorations at the Faculty of Geology is called after perished soldier Mher Julhatchyan.

This initiative brought back Mhers spirit to our University. Again he is on his chair... the eternal YSU postgraduate student,-said dean of the Faculty of Geology, Scientific supervisor of Mher Marat Grigoryan.

The initiative belonged to YSU Rector Aram Simonyan and Vardanank Military-patriotic Club. Heros relatives, brothers in arms and friends from party, lecturers of his faculty and students were present at the ceremony.

In 1978 Mher Julhatchyan became the member of ARPD Youth Union Navasardyan, and in 1984 - ARPD Raffi Youth Branch. Having graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of American University of Lebanon, he worked at the very University as a scientific researcher in 1986-1992 and tutored Natural Science at different colleges. In 1989 Mher was assigned head of ARPD Babken Syuni Youth Union, and in 1990 he joined ARPD Zavaryan Student Union.

In 1992 Mher entered YSU postgraduate course and studied here till the very last heartbeat.

I am sure that the opening of the auditorium, called after this hero, will be some kind of a new challenge for our Motherland and Diaspora, because it is not just a building or an office, but a spiritual bridge, spread on the way of ideology One nation, One Motherland, realized by Mher and his friends,-said his sister, Vera Julhatchyan.

RA Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan, who personally knew Mher, was also present at the opening ceremony. Mr. Mkrtchyan welcomed and signified this initiative and expressed the hope that this event will serve as an example for our other IHE.

Mher Julhatchyan passed away on the 23rd of August, 1993 during the defensive battle at Marzili village, Martuny district.
