INNOVATIVE IDEAS BY STUDENTS
INNOVATIVE IDEAS BY STUDENTS
The innovative students of YSU faculties of Radiophysics and Economics were received by YSU managerial staff.
The project Innovative Greenhouse, presented by our students last year in Georgia during the Annual Regional Conference GITI was recognized as Best B2B solution. Their business model had simultaneously won in Poland at the International Conference Exchange for Experience. Our innovative students are: Gor Rustamyan, Yeghishe Hovhannisyan, Arsen Arakelyan, Khachik Manasyan, Tigran Gasparyan (4th year students at the faculty of Radiophysics) and Lena Hovhannisyan (PhD student at the Faculty of Economics).

This is an important issue for the university, especially now, when the quality of education is frequently discussed. It is great that we have so many smart and talented students, who achieve success, - congratulating the students said YSU Rector Aram Simonyan.

The meeting was attended by YSU vice-rectors Alexander Grigoryan, Gegham Gevorgyan and Ruben Markosyan, Dean of the Faculty of Radiophysics Yuri Vardanyan and Alumni and Career Centre Director Lilit Hakobyan.

According to the business model greenhouses should be built 50-100 meters away from the gas stations to use the energy, which is formed at the gas stations, as it is senselessly lost. The mechanism is as follows: compressor, that freezes gas under the high-pressure and pushes it to the balloon of the vehicle, heats in this period, and it is cooled by water or oil. It turns out that the energy is lost meaningless, and our students offer to use this energy for the heating of the greenhouses. Compared to the usual method of heating greenhouses, we will save about 50 percent of the expenses.

During the meeting the students came up with a number of innovative proposals, for example, they offer to build a business incubator at YSU, which will give provide students with consulting on the business management.

They also spoke about the possibility of making solar batteries at YSU, if not, to import, to install those on the roof of YSU and the electricity cost will be reduced significantly, and the saved funds can be directed to the development of different areas.

YSU authorities approved these ideas, promising to do everything possible for their implementation.

Students offered to renovate the greenhouse of the Faculty of Biology, to install special devices and to use the energy of the infrared rays for the heating, too.

Vice-rector Ruben Markosyan also made a proposal on the opening of a Robot Producing Group at YSU, which can also be supported by the project, initiated by the Union of Information Technologys Enterprises.

We saw quite interesting and promising arrangements. We are ready to do everything to call these ideas to life, - said YSU Faculty of Radiophysics 4th year student Gor Rustamyan.
