GERMAN BUNDESTAG INVITES
As in 6 previous years, also in 2014, 3 young people from Armenia can be involved in the "International Parliamentary Scholarship" program.
The program is aimed at young people, who have prerequisites to develop managerial activities in future, taking into consideration their personal and professional qualities and way of thinking.

The duration of IPS 2014 program is 2014, March 1 - 2014, July 31. The program is available in 28 countries and the number of participants is around 120. Armenia has joined this program in 2007.

STATEMENT OF YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY  ADDRESSED TO INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS REGARDING THE SITUATION CREATED AS A RESULT OF THE BLOCKADE IMPOSED ON THE LACHIN CORRIDOR
Since the morning of December 12th, a group of Azerbaijani civilians disguised as environmentalists have imposed a blockade on the Goris-Stepanakert highway (the Lachin Corridor) which is currently the only route linking Nagorno-Karabakh to the outside world. On top of that, during bitterly cold winter Azerbaijan had shut off natural gas supplies leaving the civilians in the territory without heating for 75 hours.

YSU rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, along with Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of RA Karen Trchunyan, hosted the delegation headed by Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission. For his activity and significant contribution to increasing inter-university bonds, the rector handed a certificate of gratitude to Myasnikovich.
