The winter school "Armenia in the regional and global context" organized by the initiative of Yerevan State University and Paris "SciencesPo" University has been launched, in which 20 university students participate.
The monograph of Dr. Sc. (Phys-Math) Professor Yuri Movsisyan, Honorary Head of the YSU Algebra and Geometry Chair and President of the Armenian Mathematical Union (AMU), entitled "Hyperidentities: Boolean and De Morgan Structures" was published in English by World Scientific Publishing.
Since the morning of December 12th, a group of Azerbaijani civilians disguised as environmentalists have imposed a blockade on the Goris-Stepanakert highway (the Lachin Corridor) which is currently the only route linking Nagorno-Karabakh to the outside world. On top of that, during bitterly cold winter Azerbaijan had shut off natural gas supplies leaving the civilians in the territory without heating for 75 hours.

Katerina Altunyan is a young YSU lecturer with almost 10 years of teaching experience. She lectures not only at the Faculty of International Relations of YSU, but also at private universities, and gives lectures at informal courses.
From the 11th until 13th of November Yerevan State University students participated in a school program on the subject of “Refugees’ Rights” organized by the Office of UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Armenia (UNHCR) and “Mission Armenia” NGO gaining new knowledge within the framework of these classes.
