Short description

The proposed project has a goal to investigate the electron-photon coherent interaction processes in nanostructures leading to a nonlinear response of such electronic systems to the applied electromagnetic field. It is proposed to study the nonlinear dynamics of creation and annihilation of particle-hole pairs, their bound states in the strong magnetic and radiation fields in monolayer/bilayer graphene towards the implementation of novel compact nano-lasers, frequency multipliers in the terahertz/infrared regions of radiation, as well as production of entangled photonic beams with a macroscopic number of photons. It is also planned to study the scattering of conduction electrons in the two-dimensional nanostructures on the impurities in the presence of intense photonic field towards the control of dissipation processes.
