Short description

Among compounds interacting with DNA methylene blue (MB), acridine orange (AO) represent certain interest which immediately binding to DNA significantly change the structural and functional properties of the latter. The investigations of DNA-EtBr, DNA-MB and DNA-H33258 complexes revealed that they bind to DNA by more than one modes in the manifestation of which the physicochemical factors of the solution have a certain influence. From this point of view it is important to find out mechanisms of effect of other ligands on the given ligand binding modes. Based on the above mentioned statement we plan to carry out physicochemical and structural studies of joint binding peculiarities of two biologically active different ligands having an applicative signification to DNA, as well as three-component systems of DNA-two different ligands.
