Education
1960 - 1964: Graduated from Yerevan State College of Informatics (Former Technical Secondary School of Electronic Computing Machines). Profession line “Electronic Computing Machines, Devices and Equipments”
Awarded qualification “Technician – Electro mechanic”
1965 - 1970: Graduated from Yerevan State University, Faculty of Physics; Chair of Ultrahigh – Frequency Radiophysics. Profession line “Radiophysics and Electronics”.
Awarded qualification “Radiophysicist”
1972 - 1976: Purpose–built post–graduate course (purpose aspirant) of “Scientific School – Laboratory of Nonequilibrium Processes in Semiconductors” in Physico-Technical Institute in the name of A.F.Ioffe of USSR Academy of Science. Sankt-Petersbourg (former Leningrad).
Awarded qualification “The Physics of Semiconductors and Dielectrics”.
2000: Certificate of Achievement Awarded for Participation in NGO Management Advanced Training Program. Armenian Assembly of America NGO Training and Resource Center.
2015: Attended Seminar – Training on “Recent Advances in Agilent Technologies: Molecular Spectroscopy Portfolio”. Seminar conducted by “Agilent Technologies” and “Concern-Energomash”

1963 - 1965:Electronic – Computing Machine Technician – Electromechanic
at Department for elaboration of Electronic Computing Machine Devices (Laboratory of Reliability) in Yerevan Mathematical Research Institute in the name of S.N. Mergelyan.
1969 - 1971: Educational Laboratory Assistant at Chair of Ultrahigh – Frequency Radiophysics in Yerevan State University.
1971 - 1972 and 1976 - 2005: Research Worker at Research Laboratory of Semiconductor Materials and Devices in YSU
2005 - up to now: Research Worker at Center of Semiconductor Devices and Nanotechnologies in YSU.
1977 - up to now: Material Responsible of Chairs of Semiconductors and Microelectronics and Center of Semiconductor Devices and Nanotechnologies.

Main research interests/Experience
Investigation of nonequilibrium processes in new semiconductor materials and structures (photoluminescence, photoconductivity, gas sensitivity).
Researches of semiconductor structures morphology with porous surfaces by scanning electronic and optical microscopes.
Elaboration of microprocessor data-acquisition system with using graphic program environment for registration useful noise signal in noise background signal.

Current Research Interests
Investigation of gas sensitivity of nano-electronic gas sensors surface active layer by static resistance and noise characteristic methods in several working conditions.
Improvement the gas warning devices with resistive gas sensors characteristics (gas selectivity and sensitivity temperature stability).
Calibration of gas sensors for registration of small contents of gas addition in air-gas mixtures.

  • Member of Commission on State employee admission to work in RA Department of Ecology.
