1975 - Candidate of Physical-Mathematical Sciences (Dr. of Physics), “Experimental and Theoretical Investigations of the Electrophysical Properties of Light-sensitive S-Diodes Based on Silicon Compensated with Zinc”, Yerevan State University
1982 - Title of Senior Scientist given by Presidium of USSR Academy of Sciences

Professional experience
1968 - 1988 Research Engineer, Senior Research Engineer, Scientist and then Senior Research Scientist at the Institute for Radiophysics and Electronics, NAN RA.
Since 1988 - up to now He works in YSU on the base of competitive contract: Head of the Sector of Silicon Semiconductor Devices at the Research Laboratory of Physics of Semiconductor Materials and Devices, Principal Staff Scientist, Manager of themes financed by Government of RA, and then Senior Scientific Researcher at the Center of Semiconductor Devices and Nanotechnologies.
2001 - 2004 Participated in ISTC A-322 project financed by the USA.
2004 Participated in research works fulfilled in the framework of the CRDF AEO-10829-YE-03-NREL AAT-3-32622-01 grant financed by the USA.
2004 - 2006 Participated in the works performed within the framework of the Armenian special scientific program “Semiconductor Nanoelectronics” (Code – 041030)
2006 - Participated in research works fulfilled in the framework of the CRDF ARE2-10838-YE-05-NREL AAT-5-55158-01 grant financed by the USA.
2006 - 2009 Participated in ISTC A-1232 project financed by EU and Republic of Korea

Main Research Interests/ Expertise
• Physics and processing technique of different semiconductor devices
• Thin films, thin-film nanostructured chemical and gas sensors
• Metal-oxides and silicon nanostructures
• Silicon infrared detectors and solar cells

Current research interests
• Research and development of metal-oxide and carbon one-dimensional nanostructured gas sensors technology
• Development of preproduction models for the gas sensors exhibited the best performance
