TRAINING FOR JOURNALISM TUTORS

On March 16-18 training with the participation of European experts will be held in Yerevan.
The three-day workshop for journalism tutors "New and Alternative Media: Ethical and Legal Issues" was opened at YSU Faculty of Journalism today. It is attended by about 20 lecturers, representing leading universities and organizations of Armenia.
The Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Naghash Martirosyan noted in his opening speech that today in parallel with the IT industry development new and alternative media also develop rapidly, and, as a result, it is very important to be aware of a number of ethical and legal issues in the field of journalism.
"I should note that highly qualified specialists of our region deliver lectures at the Faculty of Journalism. This fact promotes the development of new and alternative media," - added the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism.
YSU lecturer David Alaverdyan said that such initiatives with the participation of European experts will provide the journalism tutors with new opportunities and first of all to study the international experience in this field.
European experts Niles Leopold and Sebastian Muller made an interesting presentation, which was followed by discussions on the ethical and legal issues of the online media, social networks, as well as the confidentiality of information resources.
In addition to the presentation a master class for our students was held by the European experts, too.
