The concert was devoted to the 90th anniversary of Armenian State Pedagogical University. The Quartet is going to perform concerts at other higher education institutions of Armenia, too. These events are in the framework of the 90th anniversary of Armenian State Pedagogical University. The first concert was given at Alma Mater, taking into account the fact that ASPU has originated right from YSU.

Gary Kesayan Jazz Quartet was formed approximately 3 years ago and the cooperation with ASPU started 1.5 years ago. The quartet aims to familiarize students with the art of jazz and has a cognitive and educational purpose and it is to "force" our audience to listen to more intellectual music.

The concert was attended by YSU Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Affairs Ruben Markosyan, Director of the Cultural Centre Karine Davtyan, Director of ASPU Cultural Centre Arkadi Shekunts.

Director of the Cultural Centre Karine Davtyan, on behalf of those present thanked Gary Kesayan and his wonderful quartet. Gary Kesayan noted that each jazz fan is just a treasure for them and expressed hope that the next time they will not just perform a concert, but talk with students about jazz.
