By the order of YSU Rector Aram Simonyan (N60§11 after 04.07.2015), from April to June 2015 all employees of YSU should undergo mandatory medical examination.

YSU Rector issued such an order in accordance with the article 249 of the Labor Code of the RA and RA Government decision (347-N after 27 March 2003). The medical examination will include therapeutic examination and testing for tuberculosis.

According to the Chairman of YSU Trade Union Organization Armen Avetisyan, the preliminary medical examination also includes organizational work, in particular the registration of employees conducted by YSU Trade Union Organization together with the Human Resources Department. Then employees of various structural units of faculties will announce mandatory medical examination days.

“We want to inform all employees that, in accordance with paragraph 10 of article 113 of YSU Labor Code, in case of refusal or evasion of medical examination, the employer has the right to terminate for a definite or indefinite period the contract with the employee, i.e., dismiss. Therefore, I urge all to pass the medical examination,” - said Armen Avetisyan.

The employee does not have any financial liabilities: the expenses will be covered by the budget of Yerevan State University. The medical examination will be held during the working day, in Yerevan Polyclinic N4, as it is close to the university.

Armen Avetisyan noted that all employees should have personal sanitary books, as in previous years they have passed medical examination, however in case of loss, you can get a new one: “In such cases, to avoid extra payments, Trade Union will show support.”

We should note that the medical examination is mandatory for all the participants of the educational process.
