NEW SOCIAL PROGRAM FOR YSU EMPLOYEES WITH DISABILITIES

Beginning with January 1, on the recommendation of YSU Trade Union Organization the disabled employees, in addition to their salaries each month will get an extra payment

“Beginning with January 1, on the recommendation of YSU Trade Union Organization the disabled employees, in addition to their salaries each month will get an extra payment,” - said YSU Trade Union President Armen Avetisyan.
December 3 is the International Day of Disabled Persons. In this regard, the management of YSU Trade Union has proposed a social support project. YSU Rector Aram Simonyan has signed an order according to which from January 1, 2016, all employees with disabilities will receive additional payment.
Disabled of the first group - 20,000 drams,
Disabled of the second group - 15,000 drams,
Disabled of the third group - 10,000 drams.

According to the order N 218 § 31 by YSU Rector people with disabilities should be registered by the Trade Union, based on the medical examination of the RA Medical-social Agency.

YSU Trade Union President Armen Avetisyan told us that this decision was based on the current social conditions of this group of people. That is why Rector of YSU, being a socially responsible employer, has supported this initiative.

It should be noted that the program is permanent and those employees who in any period will present a document certifying the disability group, will receive extra payment beginning with the next month.

President of Trade Union noted that many people, being not aware of social programs often do not take the advantage of the opportunities available: “There are many people who really have a disability, but have not applied for the relevant medical commission for a category. A simple example is the heart stenting. These people are already in the 3rd group of people with disabilities.”
We asked if there is a possibility that some people would not like to take the advantage of this opportunity to avoid employment problems in future, Mr. Avetisyan said: “On behalf of the employer and me I say for sure that no such problems are possible. The disability will never be an obstacle. They just become beneficiaries of the program.”
We should note that in addition to this program, for the last two years, the RA government is actively implementing a number of social programs, which will be open to YSU employees in future.
