SIX APPLICANTS APPLY FOR YSU IJEVAN BRANCH DIRECTOR VACANCY
By the decision of the Board of Trustees of Yerevan State University Foundation an open competition has been announced for the vacant position of YSU IB Director.

Six candidates have applied:

Arthur Kobelyan - Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor, YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, Chair of Social and Clinical Psychology (self-nominated),

Vardan Aleksanyan - Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, YSU Ijevan Branch, Chair of Armenian History and Social Studies (self-nominated),

Hayk Kamalyan - Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, YSU Ijevan Branch, Chair of General Mathematics and Natural Sciences (self-nominated),

Artsruni Sahakyan - Doctor of Philology, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Faculty of Theology of YSU, Chair of History and Ecclesiology of the Armenian Church (self-nominated),

Anushavan Makaryan - Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, Director of YSU Ijevan Branch (self-nominated).

Henrik Shahghulyan, a professor at the Royal Swedish Institute of Technology and a foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, was awarded the title of "YSU Honorary Doctor". Henrik Shahghulyan has been actively cooperating with YSU Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics for more than 25 years.

Gevorg Danielyan, Acting Head of YSU Chair of Theory and History of State and Law, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Armenia spoke about the process of forming YSU Board of Trustees, stating that it is a representative body and in order to have the right to act it is necessary to ensure election or appointment of all members.
