YSU CELEBRATES CHILDREN'S DAY
YSU CELEBRATES CHILDREN'S DAY
YSU Central Building yard temporarily turned into a children's playground.

YSU Cultural Center made this day even more festive and unforgettable for the invited children from different kindergartens, as well as children of YSU employees. The children painted on the ground, received colored paper images, sang, danced...

Nike Volunteer Detachment was formed in 2007in the structure of YSU Cultural Center. Its members support the center in the organization of all the activities. And this time they had decided to act on their own initiative. For realizing their programs the first convenient opportunity occurred to be June 1, The International Childrens Day.

The proposal found a positive response by the management of the University. In the result we saw happy faces of children, their hands in watercolor and decorated YSU yard.

The whole day we will provide to children, because this one day is theirs in the year. We have put emphasis on the Alma Mater future students. Eventually, it is possible that many of these children will become university students then, - says Yerevan State University Cultural Center Director Karine Davtyan.

Rafik Martirosyan had come with his daughter, 4 years old Silva. He believes that everything which is done for the welfare of our children deserves a positive appreciation. So is in this case.

We thought of giving the children sweets, gifts, but most important is the attitude. They should play, run here and there, or mix up colored papers... The student involvement in such activities is also important, -says the coordinator of the group of volunteers Lilit Ter-Vardanyan.

From YSU yard children marched towards Moscow Park, where Yerevan Municipality had prepared a festive event for them.
