NEW AGREEMENT FOR COLLABORATION
NEW AGREEMENT FOR COLLABORATION
On the 9th of June an agreement on collaboration was signed between YSU and Trier University of Germany.

This collaboration has already a history of 10 years but only in the area of mathematics. This new agreement provides with more opportunities for collaboration.

YSU rector Aram Simonyan thinks that further collaboration will include areas of student and lecturer exchange and will leave the limits of scientific research.

The scientific collaboration is of great importance for us, so, to realize this, it is very important for the academic staff of our universities to establish tight relations,- said Peter Shvenkmezger, President of Trier University.

According to Mr. Shvenkmezger one of the major goals of the agreement is the effective collaboration between the students of our universities which will provide with an opportunity to share not only the scientific achievements, but also culture and language.

The analogous agreement was signed between NAS RA and Trier University. I guess this three sided collaboration will have a positive result,- said YSU Rector.

The experience exchange project between the universities was launched with the souvenir exchange. Among numerous gifts which were given to M. Shvenkmezger YSU Rector awarded him with YSU Gold Medal. Our guests gave our Rector Ancient Roman coin and many other souvenirs.

Despite the fact that our collaboration is 10 years old, the delegation had visited Armenia for the first time. When this ceremony was finished, the delegation moved to sightseeing places of Armenia.
