Human Rights, Disability, and Urban Development Discussed at YSU, Centre for European Studies

Май 28, 2025

A seminar on the topic "Human Rights, Disability, and Urban Development" was held in the Jean Monnet Hall of the YSU Center for European Studies.

The seminar was organized within the framework of the "Jean Monnet Center of Excellence: Democracy, Human Rights and Security (DeHuRiS)" program, in cooperation with the Yerevan office of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.

The seminar speaker was Dr. Anna Bruce (RWI scholar), who presented the Human Rights Model as enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). She delivered an important presentation, emphasizing the interconnection between disability issues and urban development.

The event became a platform for undergraduate and graduate students, PhD candidates, and young researchers to engage in extensive discussions on human rights, social inclusion, and current urban development challenges.
