Why pursue career in science: discussion at YSU From stories of success to the instructive value of failure, from moments of wonder to scientific discoveries, and from research to business—what motivates people to pursue a career in science, and what makes it compelling? These questions were at the center of a panel discussion titled "Why Pursue a Career in Science?", held at Yerevan State University (YSU) in observance of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The discussion brought together women and girls of different generations working in the field, including high school and graduate students as well as active researchers. The panelists noted that in the past, pursuing science was driven primarily by personal interest, as it offered little financial reward; today, however, it can also provide opportunities to earn an income.

Two-week Media-Lab educational project launched at YSU At the initiative of the Culture Committee and the Public Relations and Media Committee of the YSU Student Council, the two-week Media-Lab educational project has been launched. The program aims to familiarize young participants with the practical dimensions of media, help them speak with confidence in front of cameras, cultivate a distinctive personal style and find their place in the media landscape.
Top achievers awarded at YSU for Chemistry Olympiad republican stage Yerevan State University hosted the closing ceremony for the republican stage of the Chemistry Olympiad, awarding students with the highest achievements. Of the 96 participants who advanced from the school and provincial stages, 8 students received first-place awards, 11 received second-place awards, and seven received third-place awards. Additional students were honored with special category awards and certificates of merit.

However, in substantive terms, they continue to face significant challenges. This was highlighted by speakers during a panel discussion held at Yerevan State University titled "Policies Promoting Equal Participation of Women and Girls in Science". By evaluating targeted programs currently underway, participants highlighted the persistent obstacles facing women in the field, while also proposing solutions and strategies to address them.
YSU confirms results of chair head elections, regular session of Academic Council held A regular session of the YSU Academic Council was held, during which agenda items and other relevant matters were discussed. The council approved decisions on its session schedule, the election of chair heads, the awarding of academic titles, the funding of scientific and scientific-technical activities, and other related issues.
