Yerevan State University places great importance on recognizing and rewarding its staff both materially and non-materially. The health insurance provided to YSU staff is designed to enhance their quality of life and support greater work efficiency.
In addition, employees have access to the University’s modern gym and to its educational and recreational bases in Tsaghkadzor and Byurakan under a special discount system, allowing them to maintain a healthy lifestyle and enjoy quality leisure time.
Health Insurance
YSU has secured a comprehensive health insurance package for all its permanent employees. This year, the contract was concluded with the insurance company ARMENIA INSURANCE.

Gym
YSU’s gym is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. In addition to providing initial guidance, an experienced trainer is available to offer professional advice on the proper use of equipment and other fitness-related matters. The trainer also designs personalized training programs tailored to each employee’s physical abilities and ensures that exercises are performed safely and effectively.
The gym operates daily from 10:00 to 22:00.
To obtain a gym membership, employees must present their passport or identification card at the reception.
All gym services are available at a 50% discount for YSU employees and students.
The subscription pricing is as follows:
- Single visit: 3,000 AMD (6,000 AMD with trainer services)
- Monthly subscription (12 sessions): 20,000 AMD (35,000 AMD with trainer services)
- Six-month subscription: 100,000 AMD (190,000 AMD with trainer services)
- Annual subscription: 180,000 AMD (360,000 AMD with trainer services)
- Unlimited monthly subscription: 30,000 AMD (45,000 AMD for 12 sessions with trainer services)
Rest
YSU employees also have the opportunity to spend their leisure time at the University’s recreational bases in Tsaghkadzor and Byurakan. The University provides these facilities at rates more affordable than those available in the market.
Both bases are fully equipped to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay and operate year-round, welcoming students and staff even during the winter months.
