Paruyr Khnkoyan, a 2009 graduate of ITERC, has an engaging professional path and inspiring accomplishments. In a conversation with him, we sought to explore notable milestones in his career.
– Could you tell us about yourself? Where are you currently working, and could you highlight one notable achievement from your professional activity?
– I completed the "Information Systems Development" master's program at the YSU Information Technologies Educational and Research Center. For more than 10 years, I have been working at Bloomberg's European headquarters in the United Kingdom, where I serve as an engineering team leader. The teams I manage develop electronic foreign exchange trading platforms used by major banks and corporations worldwide. The daily trading volume processed through the systems we build often exceeds one trillion US dollars.
– What did studying at ITERC give you?
– During my studies at ITERC, I gained fundamental knowledge in software and hardware systems, as well as their interaction. This knowledge has been particularly important for designing complex systems and developing scalable solutions.
– What challenges have you faced in your career?
– Developing complex, high-load systems requires not only deep technical knowledge but also systemic thinking. Today, as artificial intelligence rapidly transforms the field, fundamental knowledge has become even more important, as it enables quick adaptation to new technologies.
– What advice would you give to ITERC students?
– I am confident that ITERC provides students with the necessary knowledge and a strong professional foundation to confidently begin and develop their careers. Making effective use of time and available opportunities is one of the key guarantees of success.
