Yerevan State University has announced an open call for concept design proposals for a statue honoring the memory of Zabel Yesayan, the prominent Armenian writer, novelist, translator, publicist and literary critic.
The statue will be installed in the courtyard of the YSU Central Building.
Interested individuals, groups and organizations are eligible to participate in the competition.
Submitted proposals must include detailed information and visual materials on the statue's design and estimated construction cost, construction timeline, type of material, color and dimensions.
Applications submitted to the competition will be reviewed and evaluated at a closed meeting of the competition committee within 10 days after the submission deadline, while maintaining the confidentiality of participants.
All submitted proposals, including those not selected by the competition committee, will be displayed for seven days before the competition results are finalized and for seven days after the winners are announced.
The concept design awarded the grand prize will serve as the basis for constructing the statue, and a civil contract will be signed with the author.
The prize fund totals 1 million Armenian drams. The grand prize is 500,000 drams, the second prize is 300,000 drams, and the third prize is 200,000 drams.
Concept design proposals must be submitted during working days and hours to Room 507 of the YSU Central building, at 1 Alek Manukyan St., Yerevan.
The deadline for submitting concept design proposals for the statue is July 31.
