On the initiative of the YSU Alumni and Career Center, and in collaboration with the Technological Education Foundation and the separate subdivision of the H. Hovnanian Family Foundation Branch, YSU hosted one of Armenia's leading technology companies, DataArt.
DataArt is an internationally recognized organization operating in the fields of software development and engineering solutions, with over 25 years of experience. Founded in New York, the company has 25 offices across the United States, Latin America, Western and Eastern Europe, the United Kingdom, and Armenia. The Armenian office of DataArt employs approximately 400 staff members, while the company's global workforce exceeds 6,000 employees.
By providing organizations with advanced data, analytics, and artificial intelligence platforms, DataArt employees offer software solutions that have the potential to transform business operations.
During the meeting, representatives of DataArt introduced students to the company's operations and the unique characteristics of the industry. They discussed the essential skills required, the importance of developing these skills, and the opportunities available, thereby promoting students' interest in modern technologies.
By introducing the structure of the IT sector, its operational specifics, and contemporary trends, the company representatives emphasized the significance of cultivating innovative thinking, teamwork, and initiative among students.
The meeting also provided students with the opportunity to ask the representatives questions regarding professional orientation, the connection between education and the IT sector, labor market requirements, and the skills and conditions necessary for achieving professional success, receiving comprehensive answers in response.
Such meetings, organized by the YSU Alumni and Career Center, greatly contribute to helping students gain a clearer understanding of the work environment and processes within specific industries, as well as how they can prepare themselves to meet the demands of the labor market as future professionals.
