The transition from analog to digital communication systems has not only revolutionized technology but has profoundly influenced the art of storytelling within the realm of audiovisual mediums. This evolution has led to a reimagining of narrative structures and techniques, enabling creators to craft captivating experiences for audiences. In the digital age, storytelling has extended far beyond traditional linear formats, embracing non-linear and interactive approaches that invite viewers to actively engage with the narrative.

Creators now have the ability to weave fascinating stories incorporating user choices into the unfolding narrative thereby blurring the lines between creator and audience. Furthermore, advancements in digital technology have democratized the process of storytelling, allowing aspiring creators to produce and distribute their work with relative ease. From independent filmmakers to grassroots content creators on social media platforms, a diverse array of voices now have the opportunity to contribute to the cultural landscape of storytelling.

Moreover, the digital medium has facilitated the convergence of different artistic disciplines, enabling collaborations between filmmakers, writers, musicians and visual artists to create multimedia storytelling experiences with no traditional boundaries.

In this dynamic and ever-evolving environment, storytelling continues to serve as a powerful tool for exploring complex themes, sparking dialogue and fostering empathy. Whether addressing social issues, exploring the human condition, or simply providing moments of escapism, digital storytelling has the power to resonate deeply with audiences and leave a lasting impact on society.

As we navigate this new era of storytelling, it is essential to recognize the transformative potential of digital technology in shaping the way we create, consume and experience narratives. By embracing innovation, collaboration and inclusivity, we can continue to push the boundaries of storytelling and unlock new possibilities for artistic expression in the digital age.

Expanding the accessibility of audiovisual narratives through translation is essential for reaching broader audiences and fostering cultural exchange. Translating narratives breaks down language barriers, allowing stories to resonate globally. This not only enriches the cultural aspects of narratives but also promotes cross-cultural understanding. As technology advances, the potential for translation and localization grows, enabling compelling stories to reach an increasingly diverse global audience.

The main aim of the conference is to provide a platform for discussion on a broad spectrum of issues pertaining to audiovisual narratives, drama and translation. We invite specialists in the areas of performing arts, film studies, linguistics, translation studies as well as cultural studies to participate in the event.

This conference aims to address a multiplicity of issues, including, but not limited to the following:
