International Symposium "George Gurdjieff: Why Now?" at YSU

On September 17, 2026, at 14:30, the international symposium "George Gurdjieff: Why Now?" will open in the hall of YSU Building No. 8. The symposium is being held at the initiative of the YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, the UCLA Narekatsi Chair in Armenian Studies and the Laboratory of the Philosophy and Theory of History.

Simultaneous interpretation in Armenian and English will be provided for the presentations.

Symposium dates and times:

• September 17, 2026, 14:30 – 17:00

• September 18, 2026, 11:00 – 18:00

The two-day symposium will also feature:

1. a screening of the film Meetings with Remarkable Men;  

2. an exhibition; 

3. a concert program.
