International Conference on "Media Text, Meaning and Artificial Intelligence: In Search of New Meaning" at YSU

From October 15 to 17, 2026, Yerevan State University will host the international conference "Media Text, Meaning and Artificial Intelligence: In Search of New Meaning", organized at the initiative of the Faculty of Journalism and the Armenian Association for Semiotic Studies. The conference will focus on contemporary interactions among media texts, semiotics and artificial intelligence (AI).

The conference sessions will address a range of key issues, from the semiotics of prompting and the culture of human-AI collaboration to transformations in audiovisual media, the representation of the linguistic landscape in the media, the development of digital citizenship, the cultural memory of the city, and the construction of an image of the future.

Particular attention will be given to new developments in media texts, the imagological (image-related) role of the media, as well as the representation of ecological and biosemiotic issues in contemporary media texts.
